布鲁斯（英译汉）

         想成为英国作家托马斯.哈代诗作Afterwards（故去以后）译文另一个版本的几点理由

英国作家托马斯.哈代不仅是一个伟大的小说家，同时也是一个杰出的诗人，他的诗作Afterwards就我所知有四个译文，分别是黄灿然的巜身后》，刘新民的巜身后》，飞白的《以后》，王佐良在所著巜英国文学史》书中的译文巜身后》，无论是诗名身后还是以后，综合英文原义以及整体诗意，个人认为译为《故去以后》比较贴切。

另外在许多单词中，通过翻阅许多版本的英汉词典和英英词典，在译文中有了个人理解，加強了前世、今世、往世三者间的联系，并力求用诗歌语言翻译原文。

看到了英国诗人哈代名作的四个版本的名家译文，又找到了英语原文，自己又试译了一下，能否成为第五个版本

，还是有点诚惶诚恐！

Afterwards

When the Present has latched its postern behind my tremulous stay1

And the May month flaps its glad green leaves like wings

Delicate-filmed 2 as new-spun silk, will the neighbors say,

“He was a man who used to notice such things?”

If it be in the dusk when, like an eyelid’s soundless blink,

The dewfall-hawk3 comes crossing the shades to alight

Upon the wind-warped4 upland thorn, a gazer may think

“To him this must have been a familiar sight.”

If I pass during some nocturnal blackness, mothy and warm5,

When the hedgehog travels furtively over the lawn

One may say,“He strove that such innocent creatures should come to no harm,6

But he could do little for them; and now he is gone.”

If, when hearing that I have been stilled7at last, they stand at the door

Watching the full-starred heavens that winter sees,

Will this thought rise on those who will meet my face no more,

“He was one who had an eye for such mysteries”?

And will any say when my bell of quittance8is heard in the gloom,

And a crossing breeze cuts pause in its outrollings,9

Till they rise again, as they were10 a new bell’s boom,

“He hears it not now, but used to notice such things?”

今世在我忐忑不安度过

背后关闭暗道。

五月扑动欢快的绿叶

像新织成的绸缎

邻居们会不会说：

“他平常就爱留意这些景象。”

若是在黄昏，像眼皮悄然无声地一眨

飞鹰随寒露来临

偶尔落在被风吹斜的荆棘上

凝视者会不会思索：

”这一定是他生前熟悉的情景。”

如果我离世在飞蛾舞动的温暖夜晚

当一只刺猾神神秘秘地穿过草地

有人会不会说：

“他曾经竭力保护它们不受伤害

但总是收效甚微

如今他已故去。”

如果人们传闻我终于长眠安息

他们站在门口

仰望冬夜布满星星的天空

那些再也看不见我面容的人们

会不会思绪万千，浮想联翩：

“对于这些奥秘，他完全了然于胸。”

当钟声在忧郁中敲响

微风吹过来

钟声便稍作停顿

直到钟声再起

就像一阵新的回荡之声：

“他再也听不见了，但他过去很关注这样的声响。”

鸟儿的戏说

鸟儿的羽毛

此时此刻涨得通红

我终于同月亮站在一个高度了

平等的拥有

研究覆盖夜晚一些事物的权利

鸟儿抖动着翅膀往下看着

事物都在夜的常态下

孕育着各自拥有的光泽

也有相生相克的生灵

啄食着夜的平衡

使微小发出撕裂的信号

花草受惊了

有的花瓣纷纷嚷嚷落了一地

有的花瓣裹紧身子抖成一团

鸟儿想

这月下的事物也很难做呀

Bird’Joke

Bird’ feathers are red at the moment

I finally stand on the same height with the moon

I’ll study some things  covering the night by equal rights

Birds flutter their wings and look down

Things are pregnant with their own luster under the normal night 

There are mutually reinforcing creatures pecking at the balance of the night

It makes the tiny things frightened to send out tearing signals

Some of the petals are shouting and falling the ground

Others are wrapping and shaking into a ball

The bird considers the reason

It is also very difficult to do things under the moon
